An original contemporary painting of a couple in an eternal embrace. This is the third work in the contemporary series \'Two Become One\'. Acrylic on 24 x 32 inch (60 x 80 cm) high quality deep stretched canvas box frame. Painted sides so can be hung without needing framing. Signed by the artist: D Shawcross. Painting finished with a protective silk spray to prolong the quality of the paint on the canvas.
30 x 30 x 1.5 inches semi abstract landscape with a female deer in pale yellow, white, amethyst and peach. A beautiful deer stands pensively gazing off to the left of the painting in the middle of an abstract landscape. There is the hint of trees and a moon or sun behind her and even the suggestion of water and forests. I was trying for something that looked like a forest but deliberately did not paint trees as I usually do as I wanted to keep the painting all about the deer. It is totally beyond me how anyone can shoot one of these. I hope anyone seeing this may think again. The painting style is abstract, art nouveau and the paint is thick and blended giving it both a smooth and rough texture Painted on deep edge canvas - edges white, no frame needed.
Timeless Meadow - An English Meadow in June
40 x 40 x 1.5 inches large original semi abstract oil painting of a Meadow in June in England. The painting gives a view across a hazy green field full of wildflowers. There are trees to the left through which you can see the hint of a lake and a suggestion of marsh flowers and a stream. Silver birch saplings can been seen further down the field. The flowers are pink and purple like foxgloves and there is a shimmering effect caused by thick vertical paint ridges. I have been walking around Mayfield and Wadhurst and this is my memory impression of the beautiful meadow's around those towns and the slightly dull but hot summer day's that we experience alot in England. Painted on deep edge canvas - edges white, no frame needed.
Golden Forest Hidden Unicorn - LARGE ORIGINAL Oil Painting by Gill Bus
A large 36 x 48 x 1.5 inches semi abstract landscape painting of a magical golden tinged forest. This painting is art nouveau and abstract in style and shows a view though trees to the light behind them. The trees are golden, green, lilac and wine coloured. Hidden between two of them is a small white horse who looks back over her shoulder at us, wondering if we will follow. I walk alot in forests and they fascinate me as they scare me but intrigue me at the same time. There is a different atmosphere in any forest or woodland you enter and I often feel I am being watched in them. Probably because I am. Usually by deer or birds but sometimes perhaps by something more magical. The painting was made with thick and blended paint and was glazed with golden yellow once dry to give the effect of sunlight. Painted on deep edge canvas, white edges, no frame needed.

Abstract Summer - a summer wildflower impression
30 x 30 x 1.5 inches semi abstract landscape oil painting of a wildflower meadow. The colours are unrestrained and the painting hints at sinuous flowers and grasses with trees and a woodland behind them. This painting is my memory impression of the corner of a meadow in the sunshine. I never fail to be impressed by the colours and scents and feel of wildflowers and spend many happy hours wandering through fields like this. I tried to capture that blurred look you get when you take your glasses off and look at such a scene. Painted on deep edge canvas - edges white, no frame needed.
