Tower Bridge at Twilight
An impressionist-style waterclour of Tower Bridge and the London skyline at twilight with a steam barge and it's smokey steam setting the scene to the right of the foreground. Painted in just 3 colours: raw sienna, light red and french ultramarine. This was commissioned. I'm currently undertaking a similar painting for a client using acrylic on canvas and I'm happy to take similar commissions in waterclour or acrylic.

Windmills of my mind
This is a panoramic (length 26.5 x width 9 inches) original impressionist watercolour painting of 5 windmills silhouetted against the sky adjacent to a dutch dyke (a great deal of Holland is below sea level). The scene is painted from a photograph taken at dawn as the sky lights up above the mist rising over the still water in the dyke. This painting will be supplied with a bevelled mount and a glazed black frame.

A large square contemporary gloss varnished acrylic painting depicting The Monument, London. I painted an animated fiery background to give the impression of flames reaching up to the sky as may have been seen during the Great Fire of London, to which the Monument was built in commemoration. It measures 910 x 910 x 38 mm (36 x 36 x 1.5 inches) and is painted on a deep set high quality cotton box canvas (380g/m2). The sides are painted so it doesn't necessarily need a frame.
This is an impressionist-style acrylic watercolour painting of poppies in a field. Signed and dated by the artist: D Shawcross 2009. Comes framed and ready to hang. Frame: 14mm wide cushion shaped black coloured picture frame moulding. Made from real ramin wood with a paint finish and acrylic safety glazing. Single white Ingres (black core) mount 55mm in diameter.

Painted on paper 200lbs (425g/m2). Signed and dated by the artist: D Shawcross 2010. This painting will be mounted and framed to suit the purchasers requirements.
