Ocean Magicians is a very large blue and turquoise seascape painting of a Caribbean Sea, beach and sky but with an unusual twist to it. It is 60x36x1.5 inches. The sky is a deep cobalt blue and the sea is turquoise with white lacy waves rippling gently onto the shore. Eight white tern birds are dancing in the centre of the painting as if casting a spell. They were painted slightly transparently in order to enhance the ethereal quality these birds have for me. The line of the horizon shows a sand bank and deep dark water behind it and there is a lilac band of colour where the sky reaches the sea. All these factors were present on the day I saw all this on a recent trip to Aruba. My difficulty was that I did not want to paint just another Caribbean seascape. I wanted to show some of my awe for the location and sea and the birds in a way that is not hackneyed. I think I achieved this. It is dedicated to all the lovely people of Aruba. Under Sea Rebel is a large blue and turquoise underwater seascape painting of a queen angel fish in a pristine Caribbean Sea. It is 40x40x1.5 inches. The fish swims along intent on her goal and above her you can see the swirling surface of the rippling waves. Below her are the patterns of light that reflect from their motion across a sandy seabed. Behind the fish is the darker blue of deeper water in the distance. This painting was inspired by a recent Aruba holiday where I often saw this actual fish swimming around a particular jetty. I like the idea of the freedom she had if she could only continue to escape the tourists and fishermen. This is another in a series of underwater paintings inspired by the sheer beauty of a blue sea and the fish that live in it. A Good Morning Pier is of the pier in Deal, Kent waking up to the morning. The pier is stretching out into the distance and the sea is calm and still. The painting was created using watercolour and acrylic paint and the pebbly beach was painted using a splattered technique. It is varnished and does not need a frame.

Lights in Motion displays a Ferris wheel on one of Blackpool's pier. It is reflecting colourful light and it spins around. It is also accompanied by other fairground attractions lit up in light. It depicts Blackpool Illuminations and painted in watercolour paint. The painting is varnished and does not need a frame.

Harbour Haven is of a small fishing boat in Polperro, Cornwall. It is painted using watercolour and acrylic paint. Although the boat may seem lonely at first, the more you look at the painting, the more you realise it is protected and surrounded by a small village away from the crowds. The painting is varnished and does not need a frame.

Coastal calm is a mix media painting. It is of the beach and sea from a birds eye view perspective. The sea is painted in watercolour and acrylic paint and the sand is created by mixing sugar with paint to create a 3D textured effect. The painting is varnished and does not need a frame.

I was mesmerised by the sea from the back of a boat. This painting depicts my experience of this watching the land move away as we came home. There is a little silver leaf underpinning this oil painting, so it looks different depending on the light, thereby adding to the sense of movement in the painting.

These are hand made, so each is unique. The edges are finished in liquid gold or silver leaf, according to colour selections. They are resistant to heat to 70-80 degrees. They come presented in a gift bag. Price is £20 for the geode style, £25 for the circular coasters. Postage to mainland UK is free. I'm happy to post abroad for additional cost. Buyer will need to check tax position and pay any additional taxes. All coasters are handmade by myself, in my Norfolk art studio. I can create coasters in custom colour combinations on request.
