Fish Pier Tobermory
Eye-catching Lake view study in warming pastel tones. This was inspired by a long weekend beside Lake Windermere in the Lake District. The views across the lake shortly after dawn as the sun was rising were stunning. The painting continues round the edges of the painting so it comes ready for immediate hanging with no need for framing. It has been finished with a protective satin varnish.
Ocean Calling - blue sea seascape
A 36 x 48 x 1.5 inches large original seascape painting of a lady on a beach by a blue sea. The tiny figure stands at the edge of the white foam as the waves are pulling back. She is being drawn into the sea and the painting does have a real pull to it which makes it a little scary but also quite inviting. The water is turquoise, aqua and blue and the sand is pale. It is painted in thick paint in an expressionist semi abstract style. It reflects the feeling of fear mixed with fascination that the sea has and was inspired after a stay I had in Florida in January 2017. Most people love the sea and this it is because of the space plus energy that it gives to you when to look at it, smell the salt and listen to the rhythm of it. Painted on deep edge canvas, edges white, ready to hang, no frame needed.

A New Perspective - sunset seascape painting
A 40 x 40 x 1.5 inches large original oil painting of a sunset over the sea. A woman sits on a rock in the foreground and watches the waves moving in. Below her, white lacy patterns are formed by the water as it swirls over and around the rocks near the shore. The sun is low in the sky and its colours are reflected in the glittering sea. The woman is brave. She is remembering something she needs to remember and is making decisions that will change the future. This painting draws on the observations made during many hours spent on Brighton beach as an art student bunking off from work as the sea was much more interesting. Edges are white with a hint of yellow. No frame needed
Selwicks Bay, incoming tide 2016
A calming sunset lakeland scene with sailing boats and distant hills. The relaxing colours in this painting will complement most colour schemes and add an interesting focal point to any room. The painting continues round the edges of the frame so it is ready to hang with no need for framing. This creates a very simple but effective style. This painting has been finished with a protective satin varnish. This painting is on a standard edge canvas.
