Everything seemed to fall into place. Perfect tide....no people....no footprints in the sand. It's not often you feel everything is right, but this was one of those evenings.
Photographic Giclee print on FineART FibreMATTE 300gsm paper, using archival lightfast pigment inks. Paper size 23.5 x16.5 inches ( 59.5 x 42 cm ) Image size 20.25 x 13.4 inches (51.4 x 34 cm ) Limited edition of 25 Signed and numbered by the photographer (below the printed area) I love October for beach photography, as it is so much quieter. Conditions on this day at Bedruthan Steps in Cornwall were ideal.....low tide, very little wind, and good cloud cover, which enabled me to shoot directly into the sun for lots of contrast. Venturing out on the wet sand as the tide drops is great for capturing reflections. The downside of this location are the brutal steps you have to tackle down to the beach...... I must cut back on my photograhic gear !!!

Tiger Odyssey - an abstract landscape with tigers
40 x 40 x 1.5 inches large original oil painting of two tigers in an abstract landscape. The colours are rainbow and vibrant and the scene hints at a jungle with the tigers positioned in the branch of a tree. One tiger stares off to the right while the other has just emerged from somewhere and is wondering who we are. This is a painting that evolved organically just as a real forest does. The tigers are another in a series where I am optimistically creating worlds where they can continue to survive. The paint is used thinly and thickly and is interesting to look from close up as well as from a distance. Painted on deep edge canvas - edges white, no frame needed.
abstract artwork on MDF. This is done via a pouring acrylics method and is varnished ready to hang or frame. it's mainly blues and blacks with some metallic paints added. This work is 8 inches high by 12 inches high as displayed, and can be hung in any direction. Postage to mainland UK is included, postage abroad can be quoted for on request.
Elemental - a sunset seascape with horses
A 36 x 48 x 1.5 inches large original oil painting of horses on a beach at sunset. It is called 'elemental' as the four horses are each running in a different direction and have power as the elements do. There is a suggestion of sunset or sunrise and waves rolling in on the sand with warm pink, orange and yellow clouds in the background. In the distance and from the horses themselves, there is another suggestion of electricity or lighting. The style is partly traditional and partly contemporary with carefully painted horses and then thick decorative layers of paint made in contrast to this. The intention of this painting is to make a representation of an explosive energy being unleashed rather than just being a pretty picture of horses on a beach. Not sure how well I succeeded but I had fun trying.
Echo With Movement
I have had great fun creating some colourful abstract paintings lately.. As I have become more disabled it has been harder for me to continue to use brushes like before.. this new technique to me enables me to use colour without them... This artwork is 2 canvas each 8in square..I have chosen to hang them as shown, hanging in a diamond shape the red paint from the top one appears to be continuing down onto the the canvas hanging below to one size .. There is so much to see when you study them..far more detail than can be seen in these photos.. The paintings continues around all sides, and they have been varnished to protect them... I have not strung these canvas , as there are so many different ways they can be hung.. They will sit happily on a small tack placed in the wall.
I am enjoying doing some different art lately...after becoming a lot more disabled of late I am discovering new techniques of creating art.. ''Bizarre'' is very colourful, with lots going on in there! Lots of 'cells' of colour abound-- I have included 2 close up details.. The canvas could be hung any way you choose-its very much personal choice,. 25% of all sales will be donated to the O'Connor Haematology/Cancer Unit , Royal Shrewsbury Hospital where my son has been treated. now sold
