I have textured the background with swirls of silver and graphite to set off the bright red petals of the poppies and to create a modern style. Field on the corner of Hag Farm Road, Burley. 2019
Hag Farm Road leads to, as the name suggests, to a small farm on the outskirts of the village. Next to a bend on this road is a field usually used to keep horses. This painting shows the field in the morning on a day in summer with the early morning light shining off the roofs of nearby houses.
