Fabulous rich sky colours, reflecting through the sea and off the rocks. Its The end of a beautiful summer day just tipping into evening and the last remnants of the glorious sunset chase across the darkening sky, a host of yellow, vermilion and crimson against the deep blues and violets of the sky. The waves ripples across the sea and catch echoes of the light, and gentle splash against the dark foreground rocks. Some of the reflections and sky colours are done with an iridescent medium and transform the colours as it catches the light. now sold but similar work may be commissioned.

Fairyland magic 2
A partner work to Fairyland Magic, same horse but this time in tones of blues, greens and violets accompanied by a butterfly. One of the lighter blue tones is the luscious Manganese blue - very very expensive but worth it because its a simply fabulous shade. Encaustic beeswax on board. Strung and ready to hang. Lovely soft tones of blues and purples in the background and the part outline of a large powerful horse and a butterfly are scraped and coloured into the wax. This work is composed of many layers of different coloured pure beeswax wax, overlaid in parts with silver leaf and scraped back in others to reveal underlying colours. It simply needs a rub with a soft cloth occasionally to bring back the lustre of the pure beeswax, and gradually the wax will harden and cure til this needs doing perhaps once per year. framed in a simple wide wood frame. Sunrise off Cromer beach
Impressionist view of early morning sun rising over the sea. This work is encaustic beeswax on card, has heavy layers of wax, scarped back in parts to create very deep texture. The underlaying colours show through the upper layers and the whole work has touches of acrylic interference colour to enhance the shimmer of the sun streaming over the sky and the deep blues and greens of the sea. Its just back from framing and is in a deep box type glazed frame, cream mount, with dark inner mount and a deep brown wooden hand waxed frame.
