Eye-catching Lake view study in warming pastel tones. This was inspired by a long weekend beside Lake Windermere in the Lake District. The views across the lake shortly after dawn as the sun was rising were stunning. The painting continues round the edges of the painting so it comes ready for immediate hanging with no need for framing. It has been finished with a protective satin varnish.
A lovely contemporary piece of art..based on scenes near my home in Ludlow. Poppies and daisies are dominant in the foreground, All of the sides are painted and it has been varnished to protect it. It is strung and ready to hang. I will be donating 25% of sales to the O'Connor Cancer Unit at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital where my son is being treated.

The Raven's Wood
30 x 30 x 1.5 Original oil of an English woodland path. The colours are summer to autumn and there is raven circling above the trees watching as you walk her path. The painting was made after a walk in the Ashdown Forest where ravens and crows seemed to report my progress for the entirety of my journey. I never underestimate birds - they know far more than we assume and I would not be surprised if the Green Man himself is their boss. The painting is quite 3D in aspect and the colours shimmer and change throughout the day as the sunlight moves round the room. The style is impressionist, semi abstract. The edges are white with a hint of lilac and no frame is needed.
The Hunter's Shimmering Forest - A Large Colourful Semi Abstract Lands
A 36 x 36 x 1.5 inches large original oil on canvas. The painting is a very colourful, semi abstract landscape and has a white barn owl hovering in the gap between the trees above the woodland path. Her attention is on something we cannot see. The painting style is abstract expressionist, art deco and a little art nouveau and was created using thick oil paint that is slightly glossy. The canvas is deep edged and white with a hint of blue. A frame is not necessary. I painted the bright colours using varying brush sizes, wet into wet method, using lots of linseed oil and the tree and light shapes began to form as I did this. The owl went in last as I wanted her there to look after the final scene.
Part of my Birches series. I have used several shades of browns to create this painting on a large 100 cm x 30cm canvas. All of the sides are painted.. The painting is strung and ready to hang, and has been varnished to protect it. Let's Go Fishing 3
This is a large panoramic canvas featuring my Toy Town quirky style harbour scenes. Bright and colourful and very popular with a dog and cat usually featured in the painting with little people also. I can do commissions with numbers and names on the boats that mean something to the customer.
