Elsewhere
Description:
Elsewhere is a contemporary art nouveau oil painting with a deer stag in an autumn landscape. The painting shows an elegant deer stag standing in an autumn forest of rich reds, magenta, orange and gold with a little light blue and lilac for balance. In the background is the suggestion of forests and hills and in the foreground a lake and some trees. The lines are sinuous and whimsical hence the art nouveau description and the colours are autumnal and warm. Though a decorative painting, there is also a mystery to the scene and the stag has his story. I was thinking of Scotland when as I painted it. It is 36x48x1.5 inches on white deep edge canvas, ready to hang and no frame is needed.

Coming Home
Description:
Coming Home is a large square seascape painting of the sea, Seven Sistersâ chalk cliffs and the lighthouse at Eastbourne in East Sussex. It is 40x40x1.5 inches on white deep edge canvas. The sea is very blue and you can see the land fading off into a purple haze in the distance towards Seaford. A single seagull is returning home. This painting was inspired by the many times I have walked along these cliffs from Eastbourne over to Birling Gap. The sea is turquoise near the cliffs where it is affected by the colour of the rocks underneath it and is deeper blue as you go further out. Paint has been used liberally especially on the cliffs to give an idea of the texture. Dripples of white from the base of the cliffs hint at the motion of the sea and the erosion that is occurring because of it. This landscape is a great place to see for miles around over a beautiful sea and one I visited regularly to keep me happy during the covid lockdowns. No frame needed, ready to hang. Dedicated everyone loves to walk and who is active in preserving nature.

I love abstract art,I love the fact that you can see something different every time you look at it, and the fact you can hang it 4 different ways if you wish to do so..
This painting has been created using high quality acrylic paints on a 30cm x 40cm canvas..
I have used some different techniques in this painting using some chemical reaction that have created some interesting results. The photos really do not do this painting justice. The purple paint is metallic and it really jumps out of the canvas,it has moved all around the canvas and appears in the bubble effect too..other colours include a vibrant fuchsia pink and hot orange,
