Purple patch 1
Purple patch 1
Portrait
I've had a purple patch only about 3 times in my life, once at work ( x-policeman ), once at school exams-wise and once in art sales over a short period in time when I not only hit trend but became part of it, did not last long enough. It is remarkable, memorable but all too soon over, so if you hit one and gain massive fruit full success, which is what a - purple patch - is all about - enjoy it and record it for prosperity , it is your success and history. These paintings are but a reminder of those good days, simple, striking, effective and memorable, easily a talking point in any home.
I can paint more and much larger, if you wish to make a larger impact and mark not only at home but perhaps a reward, a winning campaign, accolade in the workplace, achievement almost worthy of medals - I generally charged commissions a £1 per square inch in oils, 0.55 in acrylics.... just a thought, ask me. T
All are signed on the back and not yet varnished, if wanted it will delay dispatch by approx' 7 days unless I do it it in the meantime.

It is remarkable, memorable but all too soon over, so if you hit one and gain unparralled success, which is what a " purple patch " is all about - enjoy it and record it for prosperity , it's your success and history. Wet windows 1
Wet windows 1 - An original oil painting one of a series of 3 similar which have been kept in my private collection and are now released for sale. - It is an abstract painting based on the construct of liquid refraction caused by water flowing down a clear glass window and distorting the visible images seen through that window .i.e rain on a house window. - In a heavy storm sometimes the images unless known cannot be made out save their impression to the mind or opening the window...well that's the idea anyway. - Thank you - TB - signed on the back & varnished.
IF you would like all three I will give you free UK mainland shipping and a discount on Worldwide shipping depending upon location.

The second of two commissions I did for a client he purchased no 1. This one has been in stock and not displayed or put up for sale before. So it has been kept fresh. Originally I painted it according to request, the client wanted a wiped swathe of paint with impasto boundaries as a background super imposed with a central risen demarcated square as seen. Only two ever painted. It just might hit the mark with you - Special price.

The path not followed
The path not followed
An original oil painting utilising the very effective ' dry brush ' technique and retained in my reserve collection, this one was a pleasure to paint and is based on the construct of alternatives to facts and supposition that things can exist we have no knowledge of in the realm of the ethereal an existential argument...well that's the idea anyway.
This piece will need to be signed and varnished before despatch so please allow an extra seven days for that process after sale.

Sweet dreams
Sweet dreams
An original oil painting on box canvas - no framing necessary - which has been held in my private collection for too long now, it is time to release it for some one else to own and enjoy. It is one done in my style of the period and one of a few not yet sold or seen. It has a slightly impasto risen centre in the middle alluding to the purity of the soul whilst sleeping, romantic maybe but that is the idea anyway.
Varnished and signed on the back.
Un-breached horizon
Un-breached horizon
I went through a period of selling semi-abstract landscapes, roughly 8 years and after a while they become a process, routine and in time a tedium, many artists who whish to be commercial experience this. Ultimately I started to complete a landscape then I would abuse the finished product by dripping paint down it - it was cathartic.
This one held in my reserve collection shows the inkling to do something different to a landscape painting, I made the horizon a solid slightly impasto and thickly painted swathe - it demarcated the land and the sky overtly strongly and I feel this was one which is, a piece caught in time, reflects towards my future thought processes and actions.
It reminds me of an oil painting called ' One more bloody Sunset ' an original painting which I took with me to The other Art exhibition in London and gave away to a charming female art student who fell in love with it - softy? Maybe but it helped me get past some angst and is part of my Art Career.
Signed on the back and varnished.
