the Mill Pond at sunset (2010)
In Burley in Wharfedale there is an old mill pond that used to drive a near by grain mill. This painting shows the pond at sunset. I like this painting for it's colour and how it shows the light at that time of day. As was my inspiration at that time I painted it very much in the style of the Impressionists especially in the use of colour.
