Walcott Beach A48
Acrylic artwork on standard edge box canvas. This is from a photo of Walcott beach, north norfolk taken by my good friend Sylvie. It is varnished ready to hang. The edges match the front and it can be framed or hung as it is. This work is 16 inches high by 12 inches wide as displayed but can be hung in any direction. Varnished and ready to hang. Postage to mainland UK is included, postage abroad can be quoted for on request. My artwork is unique, one of a kind. I do not sell prints. All coasters are handmade by myself, in my Norfolk, UK art studio. I leave it unframed so you can chose what you like, not what I like ;-)
The Twilight Watch
I love painting these fantasy scenes.. I can get carried away with lots of lovely colour! A bright orange, yellow and pink sky with the moon already showing its face, and a few stars twinkling away already. The beautiful colours of the sky is reflected into the water. A pair of rabbits sit and watch . painted on all sides in high quality acrylic paint onto a 80cm x 30cm canvas--the painting is varnished and ready to hang.
This is an original impressionist-style acrylic on deep high quality canvas of Tower Bridge as the sunsets spectacularly behind the London skyline. It measures 16 x 16 inches and is protected by a silk varnish spray. The sides are painted so no need for framing. This painting was commissioned by a client who lives in and loves London. I\\\'d be happy to undertake similar commissions in watercolour or in acrylic on canvas so please do get in touch.
Ghostly Buildings of Pwllfain Farm
Impression sunrise (after Monet) (2018)
Yet another Monet version. This painting gave the Impressionists their name. The painting was exhibited by Monet at the Impressionist's(then called the "society of anonymous artists") first exhibition in 1874 in Paris. The painting was ridiculed by art critic Louis Leroy as he joked about it's titled by saying that he was not "impressed" by it and that he had seen more finish in wallpaper in it's embryonic state. Again I will paint it again for you if you should so wish.
The Mill Pond and Malt Shovel
This is one of my many paintings of the Mill Pond in Burley in Wharfedale. The painting also includes the rear of the Malt Shovel. The ivy on the rear of the building was removed when it was turned into apartments and the bridge in between it and the pond has a small opening at it's base (middle of the bridge)to allow water in from the local beck to replace the water flowing out of the pond that drove the old mill that has now been turned into a house.
Sunset over San Francisco Bay
Acrylic on 12 x 16 inch stretched canvas box frame (335g/m2). Painted sides so can be hung without needing framing. Painted from the top of a hill overlooking San Francisco Bay at the end of a warm October day during the most incredible sunset. A street lamp and parked car in the foreground draw the eye into the picture. Signed by the artist: D Shawcross. Painting finished with a protective silk spray to prolong the quality of the paint on the canvas.
I LOVE this painting! The photos really don't do it justice..there are so many colours going on in it..it really is one of my favourite ones ever! The method I have used means that the acrylic paint becomes very unpredictable and there is no knowing how it will end up... I used pure silicon, pure alcohol and a blow torch to create it!! Every time you look at it you will see something new..so many 'cells' containing colours--the metallic ones catch the light beautifully. At the moment it is hanging in a nearby exhibition, but I can take it out if it sells from here.. I have chosen to hang it the way up you see it but you may decide to hang it another way..it is entirely up to you.. It measures 24in x 24in and comes ready to hang in your home or office, It is much more vibrant than it appears on here..the colours really pop out from the canvas,,
