This is one of my last paintings created in my studio, at the end of my garden. I wanted to capture the face of this beautiful cat, and the stunning colours. It took me time doing this piece as I repeatedly came back changing and adding more, it's one of those paintings that gave me great satisfaction in watching it grow. This is painted with oils on boxed canvas so no need to frame, ready to hang.
Forest Monarchs is large contemporary oil painting of a deer stag and a doe against an abstract autumn forest background. It is painted in thick luxurious paint in warm autumn colours. The deer stand in the centre of the canvas with light behind them and trees in the foreground which they are merging with ââ¬â as deer seem to do in real life. They are fallow deer which you see often in English countryside. This painting was inspired by the deer at Knole Park in Sevenoaks when I was there last October. There is a long shallow valley which runs down the middle of the park which has families of deer in the trees either side that bellow and parade around at that time of year. No matter how many deer I see, I am still captivated by them and have tried to show the magical nature of them. The painting style is messy art nouveau and because it is painted in thick paint, has facets to it that reflect slightly different colours at different times of day. The size is 40x40x1.5 inches, white edged, deep edge canvas, ready to hang and no frame needed.

Unloading in Venice
A view of the Grand Canal in Venice near the Accademia Bridge looking towards the Salute with some goods being unloaded from a barge from a viewpoint favoured by Monet. A typical scene as most things get delivered by boat. It is painted in oils in a loose Impressionistic manner on a stretched canvas that measures 12 x 10 inches approximately and is ready for you to frame to your tastes.
The Discovery is a large semi abstract oil painting of a green woodland lake in a clearing with a deer stag looking on. It was painted ââ¬Ëwet into wetââ¬â¢ style which gives the painting a rich painterly, messy art nouveau feel to it. The painting shows the view across part of a pond in a woodland with trees behind the furthest bank where a small deer stag watches in his imperious way. In the foreground are pink riverbank flowers that complement the greens. It is called ââ¬Ëthe discoveryââ¬â¢ as that is exactly what it was to me when I found this little lake in a woodland near Burwash in East Sussex (park at postcode TN19 7ET). Stags and deer feature often in my paintings because I see them almost every time I go out walking. I find them beautiful and magical and I love how they watch to see what I will do. It very much feels as though I am intruding on their territory ââ¬â which I am. This is a painting which captures a moment in time and makes me happy whenever I look at it as it takes me back there. It is 30x40x1.5 inches, wide edge canvas, white edges, ready to hang, no frame needed. Comes with certificate of authenticity.
