Scale Nab, Bempton Cliffs. Afternoon effect (2015)
Bempton Cliffs on the Yorkshire coast famous for huge gatherings of breeding sea birds and is also the site of spectacular rock formations such as Scale Nab. Bempton Cliffs used to be used by the locals for what they called "climming". Someone would be lowered down the face of the cliffs by rope and that person would gather the seabird's eggs which would either be eaten or sold. The practice was outlawed in the late 1950s beginning of the 60s.
Inspired by one of my photographs, an abstract take on waterlilies on a pond, by reeds. The background was painted in matt blues/greens and covered in cream to give it a vintage feel. For the main artwork I used a palette knife to give the rough texture, so the lilies would stand out. The canvas has painted sides and was very gently sanded to give it an intentional matt finish. Painting comes complete with fixtures to hang, and also a Certificate of Authenticity.

Into The Snow
I have used high quality acrylic paint and a chunky 12in x 24in canvas to create this snowy scene. What you can't see in the photos are the twinkly stars in the sky which catch the light.. It is ready to hang and has been coated with 2 coats of varnish to protect it. All of the sides are painted and it does not require framing.
Poppies and Grasses
I've used oil paints on a black background to create this painting...the sides have been left black and it does not require a frame. Lots of shades of greens/ochres in the grasses which appear to be waving gently around in the breeze. The poppies add even more colour along with the pretty little butteflies...This is a painting that would fit in a modern contemporary home or a more traditional one. P+P on UK Mainland is included in the price, please contact me if you are outside the mainland for details REDUCED BY £60 NOW SOLD
