This is a portrait of border collie Danny. He is a working sheepdog on a Pennine hill farm. This is painted on a standard stretched canvas based on a number of photographs which I took at his home and in his natural environment. The work is framed in a simple contemporary tray frame measuring 68cm x 53cm x 35mm overall. I am happy to undertake similar works on a commission basis. Please contact me for details.
'Escape' started life as a series of purely random shapes connected by the white space between them. The image then grew to a point where I instinctively knew it was time to stop. As the originator, I see a head on the left the image (which contains red) with an open mouth... this combined with the overall image evoked in me a feel of fleeing or escaping. Other viewers see something completely different... The artwork has been double mounted on conservation grade mount board with conservation barrier backboard (including cellophane wrap). Mount colour: White/off-white with deep red contrast - inner bezel colour: white. Prints are available. Contact me for details or visit my website for further information.
Atmospheric scene with lots of textured detail.I have used dark silver metallic paint on the trees that catches the light when it is on the wall.I have used lots of bold colour for the leaves and foliage. Part of my popular Birches series. Painted in high quality acrylic paint on a box canvas. I have painted all of the sides so it does not require a frame. It has been varnished to protect it. 25% of the price will be donated to the O'Connor Haematology/Cancer Unit at the RSH where my son is being treated. reduced by £55
A surreal image that emerged organically from the process of blending watercolours and pencils with random shapes. The overall mood of the image is 'expectant'. The piece comes complete with a double mount on conservation grade mount board with conservation barrier backboard (including cellophane wrap). Mount colour: Black - inner bezel colour: white.
