A view looking over the rooftops of Whitby on the East coast of North Yorkshire towards the swing bridge that connects the old side to the new. It is painted in acrylics on a stretched canvas in a naive style with the painting continuing around the sides so no framing is required but it could be framed if you so wish.
The big bold orange tree, the mountains, hills, dramatic sky colouring and bright sunshine ...but then there is The Flower ! this painting has deep emotional meaning to me, which I hope may resonate on others too. It is a bright striking painting that will look amazing on any wall. ( Please note the sky colour to the eye looks more of a grey shade the camera picks out the purple hue within )
This is an evocative narrative of a young lady taking time to relax while reading a favourite book under the watch of the iconic Mont St Michel on the Normandy/Brittany border in the company of her beloved and iconic Citroen 2CV. The work is painted on a prepared board in a custom made frame set in turn in a contemporary white tray frame.

When Shaun creates a piece of work the process is mainly based on his experimenting with colour and textures combined with his emotions and environment at that time. On completion his aim is for you the viewer to see their own interpretation when looking at the artwork. His paintings are not primarily intended to create definitive images although that is what you the viewer may perceive. However, if asked from his perspective, Shaun would say using multi-layers of paint, textures and colours are more important. Sand, rust and glues. Colours will vary slightly from screen resolution. Room example only not too scale. Signed on the back. With certificate of authenticity.
