This original Painting is on a Frisk Watercolour canvas, standard width, the painting continues round all the edges. it is 100% cotton, 250g per squared metre, acid free, with pine stretched bars and is back stapled. These canvases are specifically formulated for watercolour, they are ideal for my style of painting as my artwork doesn't look like the traditional watercolour artists. The painting comes with the poem printed on coloured card and a certificate of authenticity.

Tranquil and peaceful-painted in oil paint onto an unusual oval shaped canvas.
The sides are staple free.
The main colour is a soft dusky mauve, but I have used a very limited palette of just 3 colours-mauve, white and black.

Enchanted Evening
Description:
This painting has been painted onto a staple free cicular canvas measuring 40cm in diameter.
The sides are all painted.
The painting is based on the Welsh coast where we have spent many happy days and evenings.
I have used shades of purple, mauve, pinks and creams with the rocks and grass in black-silhouetted against the sky and water.
The water has been created using a special metallic paint that shimmers and catches the light.
The painting is varnished and ready to hang.

Influences
Description:
Influences
A large multi media impasto painting.
Influences was inspired by looking at abstract artists throughout the 20th Century from simple imagery to bold expression of both subject matter and form wherein I produced a painting which started by throwing swathes of impasto acrylic direct from the tuttle against a yellow grounded box canvas & criss-crossing these strokes of flying paint and letting them settle and harden where they lay.
That made a lattice work of marks which I then painted in, over and in between and added acrylic paint and layered over the top alkyd oils and Sennelier pastels ( a wonderful medium ) all eventually sealed.
Influences are there to be seen or found, I had in mind Kandinsky., Picasso, Cesar Manrique, Mr & Mrs Delaunay, Miro, Klimt, Klee, Rothko, Dali, Hoffman and many others.
I thoroughly enjoyed making this original painting and it deserves a good home.
