The poppies are waving their pretty heads in the gentle summer breeze. You can feel the peace and quiet and imagine yourself there in the warm sunshine.The tiny waves in the sea stand out slightly from the canvas.
The poppies are very textured and tactile.

The main colour is a soft dusky mauve, but I have used a very limited palette of just 3 colours-mauve, white and black.

FAMILY TREE
Description:
Family tree seemed an apt name for this painting- it shows a daddy tree, a mummy tree and a small baby tree all together in a snowy landscape painting!
I have used prussion blue with a touch of black for the coldness-the bright white snow stands out lovely against it.
The sides have not been painted but can be if required at no extra charge-it can also be framed in a black frame for an extra charge of £15.

Holiday Memories

The latest in my Summer Day series of paintings.
This one is painted onto a Windsor and Newton deep edge box canvas.The sides have been painted.
Painted in oil, the colours are fresh and vibrant. The waves lapping onto the beach are created using a palette knife which leaves the paint standing out from the canvas giving a very pleasing effect.
The palm tree is gently blowing in the sea breeze.
It maybe reminds you of holidays taken somewhere tropical.
