A New Summers Day is my signature painting ,but has only been painted in this size once before.
Created using high quality oil paints, it has been a long time in the making due to my ill health..and could be the only one I paint for a long time.
Lots of lovely textures abound in the painting.
I have used a knife to create the waves--this gives a lovely textured finish, and the thick paint used to do the poppies adds more detail that stands out from the canvas.. There is a very subtle twinkle on the sea as the light catches it..
The painting continues around all of the sides and it does not require a frame..
P+P in mainland UK is included in price but personal delivery and hanging is possible, please contact me for details.

Sardine and Lemon
Description:
This is an original acrylic on canvas of an abstract sardine and half a lemon ready to be cooked. The sides of the canvas are painted so this can be hung unframed but I think it would look better in a frame. It is an ideal painting for a kitchen or dining room. It comes in a black mount ready to frame for your room.. and measures 20cm x 15cm mounted.
Encaustic wax is a unique way of creating completely different paintings-- it is not 100% controllable -which makes it very interesting to work with..
I use an electric iron to melt the wax and 'paint' the picture using the iron. and love the unpredictable nature of it.
