If ever the film "Lady & the Tramp" were to be re-made using real life characters, Buster would be the stand-out favourite to play the leading role. This is Claudine, a beautiful young lady of French Polynesian origin who, with her husband Armand, runs a marvellous little restaurant just off the chic (and very expensive) main street in the town of Aix-en-Provence in the south of France � former home of Paul Cezanne. Their very reasonably priced restaurant is one for the gourmet and serves meals in a wonderfully romantic atmosphere enhanced by the mellow lighting from the candles, hence the inspiration for this painting.
