African Sunrise triptych
Description:
African Sunrise triptych is an example of a commissioned painting. It is worked in highest quality Acrylic paints on 3 quality chunky box canvases. It has a contemporary metallic gold horizon band which picks up low, focal light in the evenings and helps to change the whole flavour of the painting so that it seems to have a different personlity during the day and in the evening.
All sides are painted in keeping with the image on the front and as a result the painting is suitable for hanging "gallery-style" without further framing.

Autumn Reflections
Description:
This is an atmospheric landscape painting by Ros Callander. It is painted in Acrylics on a chunky box framed canvas, with all sides painted and ready to hang. It depicts the beautiful firey autumn Highland colours, with the sun shining hazily through the foliage and casting intersting shapes and shadows on the ground before you.
The truck of the Silver Birch tree visible in the foreground is painted impasto to give a realistic texture to the bark, and the bark continues around the edge of the painting to give the tree a 3D effect when viewed from the side....and adds to the overall depth of the painting.

The Passion that Burns Within
Description:
The Passion that Burns Within - a textured abstract painting depicting the artist's interpretation of a deep burning passion - whatever the focus might be. Very evocative. Viewing this piece, the expression of intense emotion stirs an empathic, emotive connection between the viewer and the work.
There is a great sense of warmth and movement within this painting, which draws the eye....much the same as the licking flames of a real fire does on a cozy winter's evening.
It is textured in places which gives an added tactile dimension.
