Summer Spirit is an hazy abstract landscape oil painting that hints of a shadowy late summer meadow and trees. It is 36x24x1.5 inches. A transparent swallow can be seen to the right and behind her you can see the suggestion of out of focus flowers, trees and a meadow. It captures a moment from a summer walk in Mayfield – made from memory which retains the feel of it more that the accuracy of the meadow I was in. The colours range through violet, green, yellow, pink and blue. The aim of this painting was to express the sensation of looking at a landscape with eyes partly shut. The swallow is the spirit of summer as they come to the UK during summertime and represent summer to me. July Dissolving is an original panoramic oil painting of the view from the South Downs in summer 2025. It is 48x24x1.5 inches. The painting was made after a jubilant walk up this hill from Washington in Sussex. The path winds steeply upwards through farm land and eventually arrives at Chanctonbury ring hill fort. You can see a complete hectic abundance of wildflowers and brambles and the hint of a winding chalk path. The scene is just starting to dissolve which represents the way nature transitions from one season into another – almost like a scene change in a theatre. As always, I have chosen to show some of the actual features of this landscape along with how I felt about it. It is happy but slightly wistful painting as summer is over far too soon in England! This painting was inspired by a photo that I took when were on holiday last year. The as sunset and sea colours were beautiful and such a contrast to the dark rocks and crags of the cliffs. This oil painting is unframed but does not have to be as the painting is continued on the canvas sides.

Beautiful vibrant picture of three full blown English roses. I love flowers and this is painted using a variety of photos of roses blooming in my garden. It's nice to see some summer flowers on the wall when the days get darker. This is a square format, oil on canvas. The picture is not framed but continues onto the canvas sides so can be hung without in the modern style.

Flowers are one of my favourites subjects for their colours and delicacy together with their transient nature. This is based on the Peonies growing in my garden. The painting is of dreamy pink flowers surrounded by white daisies on a mauve/blue background. The painting is not framed but can be hung without as the painting is continued on the canvas sides. This is a painting of the coast of Wales at sunset. The colours were spectacular. I took the photo while we were visiting north Wales and I loved the colours. The painting is oil on canvas and is not framed. It can be hung unframed because the painting continues on the canvas sides. The painting is fairly textured in an attempt to portray the rugged coast if North Wales.

This is a colourful coastal sunset of the Welsh coast close to my home.i was inspired by the contrast of the colourful sky and sea compared to the dark cliffs and the way the colours were reflected in the sea.

Summer Dance is a semi-abstract, art-nouveau style oil painting of a summer meadow with swallows dancing over it and forming patterns in the landscape. It is 24x18x1.5 inches. The painting was made after much walking around in meadows in Sussex during June and July watching swallows swooping and diving for the insects that gather over the wild flowers and trees. Swallows move so fast they are hard to keep track of and they tend leave patterns on the eyes (mine anyway) which adds to the feeling of energy that I tried to capture in this painting. Painted on 3D canvas, blue edges, ready to hang and comes with certificate of authenticity.
