Sakura (cherry) blossom
The painting was inspired by Sakura blossom in Japan. The futuristic elements of the painting allows the viewer to use their own imagination to see the elements rising. It expresses the beauty through flower blossom, the freedom through birds, the strength through the tree, the home through the house, universe through clouds and grounds through mountains. It was painted using canvas, ready to be hang on wall using acrylic painting.
Synergy of watercolour paint and digital process. During an art residency in Mexico inspired by Homero Aridjis poem I painted the famous volcano Popocatepetl with the legendry Quetzalcoatl emerging from its heart. Red sun in the west. Long fixed rays piercing the valley. Sky tensely blue. Among the volcanic peaks, the smoking crest of Popocatepetl. From its summit, loose rocks roll down, silent, without weight, like a cataclysm without sound. New Fire by Homero Aridjis
Windmills of my mind
This is a panoramic (length 26.5 x width 9 inches) original impressionist watercolour painting of 5 windmills silhouetted against the sky adjacent to a dutch dyke (a great deal of Holland is below sea level). The scene is painted from a photograph taken at dawn as the sky lights up above the mist rising over the still water in the dyke. This painting will be supplied with a bevelled mount and a glazed black frame.
