July Dissolving
Description:
July Dissolving is an original panoramic oil painting of the view from the South Downs in summer 2025. It is 48x24x1.5 inches. The painting was made after a jubilant walk up this hill from Washington in Sussex. The path winds steeply upwards through farm land and eventually arrives at Chanctonbury ring hill fort. You can see a complete hectic abundance of wildflowers and brambles and the hint of a winding chalk path. The scene is just starting to dissolve which represents the way nature transitions from one season into another â almost like a scene change in a theatre. As always, I have chosen to show some of the actual features of this landscape along with how I felt about it. It is happy but slightly wistful painting as summer is over far too soon in England! Painted on deep edge canvas, edges pale yellow, ready to hang and comes with a certificate of authenticity. #art #artist #artmaster

Three Roses
Description:
Beautiful vibrant picture of three full blown English roses. I love flowers and this is painted using a variety of photos of roses blooming in my garden. It's nice to see some summer flowers on the wall when the days get darker. This is a square format, oil on canvas. The picture is not framed but continues onto the canvas sides so can be hung without in the modern style.

Summer Calling
Description:
Summer Calling is a colourful semi-abstract oil painting of a field of flowers in summertime near the South Downs in Sussex. It is 36x24x1.5 inches. The painting shows lacy white flowers in the foreground which look as if they are in motion. This is a reflection of the feeling I sometimes get in spring and summer that the flowers are ecstatically happy and are giving it everything they have whilst the season allows it. Behind the flowers you can see the view across a meadow towards trees and the hills beyond. This spot is loosely based on a place near Selmeston in Sussex where there is a meadow that looks directly towards the South Downs. I like to walk on the hills but I also love the fields below them where you can walk in quiet farmland undisturbed and just absorb the sounds and scents of the countryside there. The painting is on wide edge canvas painted a muted purple colour which integrates into the edges of the painting and helps propel the viewer into the scenery. Painted on deep edge canvas, ready to hang, no frame needed and comes with certificate of authenticity

Natures Statement
Description:
Natures Statement is an exuberant summer flower meadow landscape that aims to capture the sheer enthusiasm and abundance of a wildflower meadow in July. It is 36x30x1.5inches. The painting captures an actual site on the South Downs near Graffham and Heyshott across a field through various summer flowers in pinks, orange, yellow and faded greens and cream. The dark trees in the background help to emphasize the flowers and there is a slight hump behind the central clump of flowers which is an ancient tumulus (burial mound) of the late Neolithic period. This particular spot is one I visit often as it has an atmosphere to that is both calm but quite magical. I can easily imagine fairies and ancient souls dancing there when no one is around. I am an artist who tends to reflect the seasons in my landscapes and this is another of a series of wildflower meadow paintings made in the summer of 2024. Dedicated all those people who are working to restore and protect our beautiful British landscapes, nature, animals, birds, trees, flowers and fauna. Painted on deep edge canvas, white edges, no frame needed, Comes with certificate of authenticity and gifts from the artist.

Summer Riot
Description:
Summer Riot is a large square semi-abstract landscape painting of a hare in a wild summer meadow. It is 40x40x1.5 inches. The idea of this painting was to show the sheer enthusiasm with which nature expresses itself â even in the smallest corner of a summer field. It is literally exploding with life and energy. The flowers are fairly abstract but hint at buttercups and clover and a mad array of grasses and other wildflowers. The hare is hiding to the right of the centre of the summer explosion and she looks a little confused by it all. The edges are blurred and the paint thickness varies a lot in order to add to the slightly mad energy of it. It was painted after a walk I took recently near the South Downs where the farmland is simply beautiful and a corner of a meadow is endlessly entertaining (to me at least). I did see a hare in the distance but she did pose for more as this one does (I do love artistic license). Painted on deep edge canvas, white edges, ready to hang, no frame needed and comes with certificate of authenticity and gifts from the artist.
