London's Burning

Title: London's Burning
Description: A large square contemporary gloss varnished acrylic painting depicting The Monument, London. I painted an animated fiery background to give the impression of flames reaching up to the sky as may have been seen during the Great Fire of London, to which the Monument was built in commemoration. It measures 910 x 910 x 38 mm (36 x 36 x 1.5 inches) and is painted on a deep set high quality cotton box canvas (380g/m2). The sides are painted so it doesn’t necessarily need a frame.
