Contemporary painting of a little black bird sitting amongst flowers and plants. The fresh yellows really 'pop' out of the canvas set against graduations of grey foliage. This painting would suit any home and is ready for immediate hanging with no need for framing. It has been finished with a protective satin varnish.
Shopping Trolley Finals
It`s the shopping trolley finals, and it looks like a very close finish...there seems to be one person though not very sports like, having a paddy, and throwing his trolley as he knows he can`t win...Shame! A small fun painting, just 14" x 10" x half inch thick. No frame required as I have also painted the edges. Painted on my own HANDMADE canvas board.
Synergy of watercolour paint and digital process. During an art residency in Mexico inspired by Homero Aridjisâ poem I painted the famous volcano Popocatepetl with the legendry Quetzalcoatl emerging from its heart. âRed sun in the west. Long fixed rays piercing the valley. Sky tensely blue. Among the volcanic peaks, the smoking crest of Popocatepetl. From its summit, loose rocks roll down, silent, without weight, like a cataclysm without sound.â New Fire by Homero Aridjis

Melissa the Bee Goddess
Synergy of watercolour & digital process painted after visiting the cave of Apolloâs birth on holiday in Crete. âAs I stood watching the rising sun over Mirabello Bay something caused me to turn around, and there reflected in the mountainside was the shimmering golden iris of an eye. Following precarious goat tracks with the scorching sun on my back I reached a cavern; a low buzzing sound emanated from within. Entering the mountain I was hit by a deep aroma of damp Neolithic earth. I found myself feeling my way into the darkness towards a dimly lit circle of Stalactites. Inside the circle I paused, it was then I had the most extraordinary experience. I felt bathed in warm air, as if I was in the breath of the Goddess. The buzzing seemed to surround me; it was like someone had poured honey into every cell of my body, vibrating to the sound of what I can only describe as, âAbsolute Loveâ. â
