Pwllfain Farm (Stoney Pond Farm)
An abandoned Welsh farm - Pwllfain (Stoney Pond) sits on a hillside overlooking the Clettwr River and village of Pontsian, Mid Wales. Although it is deserted and the windows are dark and some without glass, and the rooms are empty - it still looks cheerful thanks to the red brick, rusty corrugated roof and autumn colours in the trees.
Red Riding Hood in Mosaic
This is an extremely unusual representation of a nude female figure in a red cloak apparently formed as a mosaic of coloured tiles but is in fact painted on a stretched canvas, ready to hang and set in a contemporary dark mahogany effect tray frame. It is meticulously painted with great attention paid to each individual tile. This would be an eye catching talking point in any display. The frame measures 68cm x 48 cm overall x 35 mm deep.
FLIGHT OF THE BUTTERFLY
Golden Poppy Field
A contemporary painting of a field of fresh, bright golden poppies. The background is textured with swirls of chocolate brown to set off the rich gold petals of the poppies creating a modern style. This is a simple and clean picture that would suit any living space. This painting has been finished with a protective satin varnish. I can paint this in any size to suit your living space. Coffee and Cream
Contemporary painting that would look good in any modern home. The warm browns and creams in the textured background set off the metallic shapes and circles. The painting is made up of two canvases that are 30x20 inches each and have deep edges. The paintings continues round the sides of the canvases making them ready for immediate hanging with no need for framing. Thay have been finished with a protective satin varnish.
Art Nouveau Party Horse
Art nouveau party horse is a 30x40x1.5 inches oil painting on canvas of an Arab horse but painted in an art nouveau, rather playful style. This painting began life as a serious portrait of a beautiful bay stallion. However, it was boring so I decided to see what would happen if I made it into a Gustav Klimt style painting. I added lots of gold and some little patterns and marks that transformed it completely. I am very fond of paintings that show an interplay between traditional and abstract so am now very happy with this painting as it looks like a conservative horse who has gone to a party and is letting his hair down (hence the name). The background and edges are gold and it does need a frame and is ready to hang.
One of my new "large" range of canvases. If you'd like to commission a smaller version of this painting please get in touch. Scots pines stand guard on a hilltop. This painting has been built up in layers to show texture and contrast. There are gold swirls in the foreground and the rich golden trees stand out against the cream background. The painting continues round the edges of the canvas making it ready to hang with no framing necessary. This painting has been finished with a protective satin varnish.
