Dragonflies and Foxgloves
Description:
This fantasy painting has been created using acrylic , oils and encaustic wax.Its mainly monochrome but I have added some colour in the form of foxgloves and dragonflies using melted wax.
The water and light coming through the trees are created using oil paint--it works well and gives a lovely translucent effect.
The sides are all painted and its been varnished to protect it.
It comes strung ready to hang in the room of your choice!

Crashing Waves (MacMillan Donation)
Description:
Crashing Waves is a large atmospheric seascape painting by Scottish artist Ros Callander. It is painted on a chunky box framed canvas with the painting continuing around the sides of the canvas, to allow display without further framing. I took inspiration for this painting from the beach front of the small coastal village of Inverbervie in North East Scotland, one wild, stormy day.....I parked the car at the beach front and just sat and watched the hypnotic spectacle before me......it was stunning.
This painting is currently in the Macmillan Cancer Care exhibition in Aberdeen. UPDATE: Sold at exhibition. If you are interested in commissioning a similar painting, please email me to discuss your requirements on a no obligation basis.
