It was created after a tasking day of teaching as I looked for some âcalm in the stormâ of the day.

Artist Biography:
I gained my Fine Arts degree from Canterbury Christ Church in 1992, but my artwork remained largely unseen as I built a career in teaching. I continue to work in Education, supporting students with Special Educational Needs, where my background in art has become an invaluable tool for learning, communication, and emotional expression. My own creative practice has evolved into a deeply personal form of self?therapy, with each piece emerging in response to my emotions and experiences. My hope is that what I create will resonate with others and offer a sense of connection, reflection, or understanding.
I work mostly in pastel with pencil and acrylic detail to create landscapes, seascapes, people and animal portraits.
