I have used some metallic in this painting that catches the light.

I love this little painting!
The colours are so vibrant in "real Life" I even managed to get some texture in it making it look like there are pieces flying off a comet.
I have used some metallic paint in parts and it really catches the light..
Turquoise blue,yellow, orange merge with the black paint.
Some lovely effects on there that my camera isnt picking up..

Description:
This is the type of place I love walking in...Wild open moorland, It always feels like there is something mysterious about such places, especially on a dull and dark day. I was going to add more to this little painting, as you can see by the sketch above, but I liked it just as it was in the end...simple.
Painted on a standard size canvas. 16"x 12". No frame is required as I have painted the edges as well.

Encaustic wax is a unique way of creating completely different paintings-- it is not 100% controllable -which makes it very interesting to work with..
I use an electric iron to melt the wax and 'paint' the picture using the iron. and love the unpredictable nature of it.
