When Shaun creates a piece of work the process is mainly based on his experimenting with colour and textures combined with his emotions and environment at that time. On completion his aim is for you the viewer to see their own interpretation when looking at the artwork. His paintings are not primarily intended to create definitive images although that is what you the viewer may perceive. However, if asked from his perspective, Shaun would say using multi-layers of paint, textures and colours are more important. Colours will vary slightly from screen resolution. Room example only not too scale. Signed on the back. With certificate of authenticity.

In the Fibonacci sequence the next number is the sum of the previous two numbers. So it begins 0 1 1 2 3 5 8 13, 21 . It regularly occurs in nature. For example in the diameter of consecutive turns of a snail shell. This work illustrates this as a sequence of turned beech spheres of 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8 and 13cm (5+inches) diameter. In addition to which the distance between the spheres is also in the sequence 1, 1, 2, 3, 5 and 8 cm. These are mounted on a 2.5cm x 17.5cm (maximum) x 54.5cm tapered English oak plinth. The piece weighs 2.0kg. It is the work of David Boyd FRSC, who is a scientist specialising in scientific and geometric artworks.
