I burnished copper onto canvas before applying layers of oil paint. This painting looks different according to the light because the copper is reflective. The title is tongue in cheek - it comes from Theresa May running through a cornfield.
This painting was inspired by a visit to the New Forest and the wonderful book by Enid Blyton - The Faraway Tree. I used copper leaf on canvas to create the surface. The copper renders the painting slightly different according to the light.
