Sid The Squid

Title: Sid The Squid
Description: I have used melted wax to create this little picture... Sid The Squid is a little different to my usual paintings.it could not be repeated no matter how many times you tried.. There is another painting in the series called Olly the Octopus which is also available here on ABA ..if you would like to purchase both paintings I will sell the two together for £55 It comes in a black mount ready to frame for your room.. and measures 20cm x 15cm mounted. Encaustic wax is a unique way of creating completely different paintings-- it is not 100% controllable -which makes it very interesting to work with.. I use an electric iron to melt the wax and 'paint' the picture using the iron. and love the unpredictable nature of it.

Diane Jennings

Artist Biography:

I am disappointed to see a lot of my work and ideas are being copied by another artist on ABA..it is a shame they cannot use their own ideas for their paintings instead of stealing mine.
A passionate, self-taught, professional artist, Diane Jennings has worked from her studio in Ludlow, Shropshire for the last 18 years.
She works in several different media, oils, acrylic and melted wax producing a widely varied range of works.

Drawing on her past experiences and imagination, Diane manages to strike a balance between representation and her own individual interpretation of the subject matter.

Her bold use of color, composition and visual texture encourages personal connection and evokes preciously held memories of past places and times.

Being at her happiest when having the freedom to express her creative self, Diane admits that art, and her relationship with each and every individual piece of work encompasses the very essence of the person she is.

With a large and varied client list, including repeat collectors, Diane's work is held in many UK and international collections.

She currently maintains a strong online presence with a regular annual program of participation in both multi artist and solo exhibitions.

Diane is happy to paint commissions-please contact her to chat about what you would like painted!

Ill health has meant that she has had to stop running her art workshops. Hopefully after she has made some room from her sale she hopes to be able to do some paintings that are a little different to her usual style... please watch this space... She is making room for new paintings in her studio and she has reduced lots of her paintings on here-many bargains to be had!!
Please see below for details of her huge sale..
