The Malt Shovel on a cold morning in winter 2012
I have painted my series of the Malt Shovel Hotel in Burley in Wharfedale in two sizes. One in this size of 30x24 inches and one sized 30x36 inches. I painted about thirty paintings in this size and six in the 30x36 inch format. Both are painted on standard stretched canvas. Most of the paintings in this size have sold, but there are still about ten left.

Poppy Field - Large
One of my "large" range of canvases. If you'd like to commission a smaller version of this painting please get in touch. A contemporary painting of a field of fresh, bright poppies. The background is textured with swirls of cream and coffee to set off the bright red petals of the poppies creating a modern style. This is a simple and clean picture that would suit any living space. This painting has been finished with a protective satin varnish.
This is a large and modern contemporary painting. The fresh colours in this painting will complement most colour schemes and brighten any room. This painting depicts a mountain lake scene with snow capped peaks in the background. The painting continues round the edges of the canvas frame so that it comes ready for immediate hanging with no need for framing. This painting has been finished with a satin protective varnish. This painting is on a deep edge canvas.
A New Summers Day
This large 36in x 36in deep edge canvas will brighten any room it hangs in. A New Summers Day is my signature painting ,but has only been painted in this size once before. Created using high quality oil paints, it has been a long time in the making due to my ill health..and could be the only one I paint for a long time. Lots of lovely textures abound in the painting. I have used a knife to create the waves--this gives a lovely textured finish, and the thick paint used to do the poppies adds more detail that stands out from the canvas.. There is a very subtle twinkle on the sea as the light catches it.. The painting continues around all of the sides and it does not require a frame.. P+P in mainland UK is included in price but personal delivery and hanging is possible, please contact me for details. NOW SOLD
Otley Chevin viewed from Burley Woodhead 2012
This painting is one of several paintings I have painted of Otley Chevin. known locally as the Chevin it is a small mountain/hill on the eastern side of Otley (an old market town in West Yorkshire) providing shelter for the small town. Near the top of the Chevin is a popular point affording splendid views of the surrounding countryside and is called (not surprisingly) "surprise view".
