Springtime on the Malvern Hills
Original watercolour on Two Rivers handmade 100% Rag paper.Painted from the foothills of the Herefordshire Beacon ( British Camp ),looking towards the Worcestershire Beacon and Colwall Green. This painting featured in The Leisure Painter Magazine ( Sept 2018)in different stages from the actual drawing to the completed work.
This is an evocative narrative of a young lady taking time to relax while reading a favourite book under the watch of the iconic Mont St Michel on the Normandy/Brittany border in the company of her beloved and iconic Citroen 2CV. The work is painted on a prepared board in a custom made frame set in turn in a contemporary white tray frame.
Tower Bridge at Twilight
An impressionist-style waterclour of Tower Bridge and the London skyline at twilight with a steam barge and it's smokey steam setting the scene to the right of the foreground. Painted in just 3 colours: raw sienna, light red and french ultramarine. This was commissioned. I'm currently undertaking a similar painting for a client using acrylic on canvas and I'm happy to take similar commissions in waterclour or acrylic.
November Moment is a semi abstract autumn landscape of fields and woodlands with deer. It was inspired by the landscapes around Hever Castle in Kent and is 30x30x1.5 inches. The painting shows dripping trees and leaves in vibrant autumnal yellows and reds next to a stream. On the other side of the stream, at the edges of woodland, you can see a few deer watching. I took a walk here after several days of heavy rainfall and the fields and trees were waterlogged and muddy with lots of streams threading through them. I did see these deer and I am sure they were laughing as they watched me sloshing about in the undergrowth. I called it November Moment as it does represent a memory for me a wet English walk which I enjoyed very much. Painted on wide edged canvas, edges white, no frame needed.

Our Winter Walk
Calming mountain vista in graduated browns and blues. Trees scatter the foreground hillside in calming silhouette. The relaxing colours in this painting will complement most colour schemes and brighten any room. The painting continues round the edges of this box canvas so it is ready to hang with no need for framing. This creates a very simple but effective style. This painting has been finished with a protective satin varnish.
