A Very Rainy Day
This is No.12 in my `Northern Art` collection. They are all the same size, just 14" x 10" x half inch thick. Sides painted so no frame required. All about life from a bygone era in the sooty streets of the northern mill towns. Painted on my own HANDMADE canvas boards. A very rainy day here...every one is dashing out of the showers.
The Blackpool Beano
The Thin Place
The Thin Place is a wide panoramic landscape painting of wild hareâs playing in a summer wildflower meadow. It is 30x60x1.5 inches and was inspired by the wildflower meadows I found on the South Downs near Graffam last summer. I did, in fact, come across a large red hare on one of the wooded slopes that lead up to these meadows which felt magical in itself as we both stood dead still to watch each other. The painting came about as I imagined what this hare would be doing when no one was around to see her. The Sussex South Downs are ancient and you often feel you may have crossed over into a different time period as you walk them. The term âthin placeâ apparently means an area where the barriers between two or more worlds are thin and can be crossed into. Evidence of Roman pathways, burial mounds, medieval farming etc can all be found and some of echoes from the past also helped inspire this painting. It is dedicated to all those people who are working so hard to preserve this beautiful area and to the South Downs National Park. Edges white, ready to hang, no frame needed, comes with certificate of authenticity

A49. Dragon fantasy
Abstract artwork on MDF. This is done with a base of coloured resin that is then embellished with paint markers, crystals, glass, beads, opals, cord, and other things i feel will add to the painting, all embedded in resin and then sealed with a finals coat of resin for that glossy, glass-like appearance This work is 11.5 inches high by 8.5 inches wide . Postage to mainland UK is included, postage abroad can be quoted for on request. My artwork is unique, one of a kind. I do not sell prints. All art works are handmade by myself, in my Norfolk, UK art studio. I leave it unframed so you can chose what you like, not what I like ;-)

A Lingering Magic
A Lingering Magic is a 36x36inches oil painting on canvas of an autumn woodland walk. The painting shows a view past colourful autumn trees to a pond on the left where the light through the trees highlights a swallow skimming insects above the surface of the pond. The painting was begun last October after a walk I took in the Lewes area of Sussex. It had been raining for weeks and the Ouse valley was flooded with lots of extra ponds and streams having formed. The swallow was a surprise as she should have left for Africa but maybe she was happy to stay a little longer. She is my lingering magic. I like paintings that transport me to lovely places when I look at them. This one takes me somewhere magical â hence the title. The painting is ready to hang and the edges are dark purple.
