WE RE-WROTE THE STARS
THE RED SHOES (ON BLUE)
In spirituality, browns and bronze colours are used for grounding and helping people connect with Mother Nature and this painting should give balanced and nourishing energies. To invoke thoughts of the people we have met along our journey and those we are yet to meet and is about our time on this earth. The small hints of red signify willpower and passion in whatever it is we choose to do with our lives. The canvas has been continuously layered with texture along with a range of different colours to create a living texture.
A WALK IN THE COUNTRY
LOVING LIVING LIFE IN JEANS
This was created during the artistic process and to show the love of life, total relaxation and the freedom to just BE, with a general overall pleasure invoking happy memories. The canvas has been continuously layered with texture and has a range of different hues to create the worn look of denim. It has been lightly sanded to give it that lived in and loved look.
ARE WE THERE YET?
This was created during the development process. The scene is an aerial view of the beach and was inspired by a day out, reminiscent of childhood, where the most asked question is .. are we there yet? The black represents taking forever to get there. Hints of dark blue come through in certain light, and bronze over texture represents the sand. The white semi circles are the sun and moon.
Inspired by one of my photographs, an abstract take on waterlilies on a pond, by reeds. The background was painted in matt blues/greens and covered in cream to give it a vintage feel. For the main artwork I used a palette knife to give the rough texture, so the lilies would stand out. The canvas has painted sides and was very gently sanded to give it an intentional matt finish. Painting comes complete with fixtures to hang, and also a Certificate of Authenticity.
