This is a small abstract painting of a northern town in England. I love the way buildings become jumbled in over time so there's no obvious structure but the colour of the brick and the reflection of the sky in the slate roofs tie it all together. Oil on canvas.
I saw this little blue glass jug in a charity shop. I thought it was cute and would look great with the last pink rose from my garden. It did, but it was quite tricky to paint! It's oil on a box canvas so doesn't need framing.
It can be clear weather in the town, but head to the hills and it can be pretty misty. This was one such morning this autumn, damp and misty but with the prospect of some blue sky to follow! Oil on canvas.
This is the micro brewery, Storm Brewing, located near the underpass in Macclesfield. It was a wintery day with lost of blues and purples and I could see a "storm brewing" behind the rooftops above the building. Oil on canvas.
