A Taste of Venice
Slight departure from the landscapes... spotted this juxtaposition of buildings as I was walking home from town one wintery day. It's one of many similar scenes that make Macclesfield an interesting and not-too-gentrified place to live. There's oodles of history here and it's reflected round the town wherever you go. Oil on canvas. Framing extra - contact me.
Chapel Street, Macclesfield
Macclesfield has many streets like this and I loved the way all the buildings seem piled on top of one another, with lots of roofs and chimneys all jumbled in. It's an autumn view of Chapel Street from Windmill Street, another very old road in Macclesfield. Lots of vibrant brick reds and purple - blue slate greys. Acrylic on canvas. Signed limited edition Gicle prints available for 75 - please email me.
