Description: 'Sierra Spirit' is a close up portrait of a beautiful Iberian wolf created with coloured pencils on Arches cold pressed watercolour paper. I'm so glad to read that these wonderful creatures are making a steady comeback in Northern Portugal and Spain after being hunted almost to extinction, although there is still a way to go before they are safe. About the size and weight of a German Shepherd I think they have become my favourite wild animal, this one in particular resembling my own dog Bonnie in some ways. Measuring approximately 14 x 11 inches this drawing is presented in a white mount within a distressed silver gilt frame which suits the piece perfectly, to a total size of approximately 22 x 18.5 inches, ready to hang.
