Catch of the Day
Boat In The Sun
Pencil drawing of Bristol Blenheim flying above the clouds. The Bristol Blenheim was a British light bomber built by the Bristol Aeroplane Company and used in the early years of the Second World War. The all-metal aircraft was powered by Bristol Mercury radial engines and carried a crew of three. Many thanks to my son, Martin Jones, for the reference photograph.
Last light of the day
This is from a photograph of Reculver Towers on the North Kent Coast, taken just before the light of the Sun faded. Standing in the centre of these ruins, I always get a real sense of its past and those who left their souls here. The last picture shows the Towers when they were once part of the medieval church of St Mary. Well worth a visit!
