Family tree seemed an apt name for this painting- it shows a daddy tree, a mummy tree and a small baby tree all together in a snowy landscape painting!
I have used prussion blue with a touch of black for the coldness-the bright white snow stands out lovely against it.
The sides have not been painted but can be if required at no extra charge-it can also be framed in a black frame for an extra charge of £15.

Abstracted And Expressionless in Whitby
Description:
I like this view through the cafe window looking up at the abbey monastery on the cliff top above the old town of Whitby in North Yorkshire. It gave me the opportunity to incorporate a still-life, people and landscape and to try and tell a little story all in one go. Have the people outside just finished the meal inside? If so, why are they going in different directions or are they together at all? The idea for the title came from the young lady in the Mondrian style dress and the man with a faraway look on his face, and I set it in Whitby as it is one of my favourite places. It is painted in oils on a deep box canvas with the painting continuing around the sides so no framing is required.
