Gwarllwyneidos - revisited
The old stone barn in the farmyard of Gwarllwyneidos - nature is taking over. The grass is like a sea of greenery lapping at it's feet and the sky can be glimpsed through the roof where slates have given up the ghost and slid into the green sea below. I think I am it's only visitor. Watercolour and ink in an ivory mount

Botallack Mines, Cornwall
The Engine Houses at Crown Mine, part of the Botallack Mine site on the west coast of Cornwall and now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Botallack mines are known as submarine mines because they travel half a mine out to sea, beneath the sea bed. It would have been a noisy and dangerous place to be, at it's peak of production of copper and arsenic, but since 1880s it has been silent. Perched on the edge of the cliff it is now a place of quiet reflection.
