Mirror Mirror in my hand,
behind me I see acres of land,
but I'm sinking fast, in green quick sand,
it's not exactly what I had planned!
Is it a reflection of my fears,
due to all the speeding years,
I wish I could slow down the gears at last,
and stop the hamster wheel,
going nowhere fast.

Creatures of the deep,
into their world we peep;
it's like another planet where we dive,
one where we can't survive;
if our air runs out
the truth is crude -
we'll end up
as the creature's food!
Fishermen catch them to go on our plate,
the few of us whose air ran out
have only balanced fate!
