Escape to the Big Blue Sea
Escape to the Big Blue Sea is a large blue under the sea oil painting with three fish swimming in formation. The fish are angel fish and they travel across a wide blue expanse of ocean beneath the turquoise rippling surface of the water which catches the light in small white sparkles. Below them you can see the light patterns on the rainbow coloured sand and in the distance a hint of coral reef. The idea behind this particular painting was prompted by the Corona virus lockdown which has left most of the world feeling a bit trapped. The three fish are freshwater fish and so have no business being in an ocean. However, one of the things I most like about painting is that you can alter reality as much as you want to. I have set them free as I hope we will be soon. Dedicated to everyone. It is 40x40x1.5 inches, white edges, deep edge canvas, ready to hang, no frame needed.
Wordsworths cottage garden
Layers of patterns form the light and shade to this painting of Kate Moss along with metallic areas. There is a lot of gold in this painting so depending on where the light is coming from it changes the way it looks. It is inspired by the Pop Art movement in general, Klimt's use of gold and patterns, and the bright colours, patterns and squiggles of Ken Done and Keith Haring.
Tower Bridge at Twilight
An impressionist-style waterclour of Tower Bridge and the London skyline at twilight with a steam barge and it's smokey steam setting the scene to the right of the foreground. Painted in just 3 colours: raw sienna, light red and french ultramarine. This was commissioned. I'm currently undertaking a similar painting for a client using acrylic on canvas and I'm happy to take similar commissions in waterclour or acrylic.
An Avon Swan
Modern, contemporary diptych painting depicting colorful circles textured with swirls of mixed complementary colours. Stylised flowers or abstract design, the interpretation is up to you. This modern colour scheme will add a touch of class to your room or office space. The painting continues round the edge of the canvas making these paintings ready for immediate hanging. They have been finished with a protective varnish.
This painting of Marilyn Monroe is built up with several layers of acrylic on a box canvas. Firstly blocks of colour and then multiple patterns on top. There is a lot of gold in the background so depending on where the light is coming from the painting changes the way it looks. It is Inspired by the Pop Art movement in general, Klimt's use of gold and patterns, and the bright colours, patterns and squiggles of Ken Done and Keith Haring. I hope you like it as much as I enjoyed painting it :) x
